Nghiên cứu đánh giá của Bộ Lao động – thương binh và xã hội và UNICEF (2015) chỉ ra những yếu kém của hệ thống sức khỏe tâm thần ở Việt Nam một phần xuất phát từ trình độ chuyên môn rất hạn chế của đội ngũ cán bộ tham gia chăm sóc hỗ trợ người tâm thần cũng như công tác quản lý, điều kiện cơ sở vât chất kể cả ở trong các trung tâm bảo trợ xã hội hay ở ngoài cộng đồng.
Qua nghiên cứu lý luận về Quản lý công tác xã hội đối với người tâm thần, chúng ta có cái nhìn tổng quan về chăm sóc sức khỏe tâm thần ở Việt Nam. Thông qua các quan niệm, khái niệm, các hoạt động trợ giúp người tâm thần làm cơ sở khẳng định đúng đắn hơn về quyền con người của họ trong đời sống xã hội.

Evaluation studies of the Ministry of labor, invalids and Social Affairs and UNICEF (2015) to point out the weakness of the mental health system in Vietnam partly derived from the limited qualifications of staff taking care of the mental support as well as the management unsophisticated facility conditions, including substance in social protection centres or outside the community.Through the study of arguments about the social work Manager for mental people, we have the overview about mental health care in Vietnam. Evaluation Research of the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs and UNICEF (2015) point out the shortcomings of the mental health system in Vietnam in part stems from the very limited level of expertise of staff join the care and support of people as well as mental management conditions including the material foundations in the social welfare centers or in the community.
Through the study of management theory work society for the mentally handicapped, we have an overview of mental health care in Vietnam. Through the concept, concepts, activities do help people mentally sound basis to better assert their human rights in social life.
