Trong những năm gần đây, phong trào bóng rổ sinh viên ở Thành Phố Hồ Chí Minh phát triển mạnh hơn so với thời kì ban đầu. Vì thế cho nên phong trào luyện tập, thi đấu bóng rổ ở trường Đại Học HUFLIT cũng có những bước phát triển vượt bậc.
Bài nghiên cứu này được thực hiện vì mục đích cung cấp một góc nhìn rõ ràng về tiềm năng phát triển của CLB bóng rổ HUFLIT và cụ thể hóa mục tiêu phát triển trong 2 năm sắp tới.
Thông tin sơ lược về CLB bóng rổ Huflit hay viết tắt là HBC: CLB được thành lập từ rất sớm vào năm 2003 khi bóng rổ còn chưa phát triển rộng rãi. Ban đầu chỉ là những người đam mê bóng rổ, trình độ tuy không cao nhưng đã là một tập thể bền chặt cả trong lẫn ngoài sân.
"Là người đàn anh đi trước, anh cũng muốn đội Huflit có thể duy trì được tinh thần đoàn kết, lửa đam mê và cống hiến" - trung phong Long Gấu.
Vì nghiên cứu này chưa được thực hiện trước đây nhưng với tốc độ phát triển của CLB thì một bài nghiên cứu rõ ràng về tiềm năng và hướng phát triển trong 2 năm tới là cần thiết và cấp bách.
Hy vọng bài nghiên cứu này sẽ trở thành kim chỉ nam cũng như đề ra phương hướng phát triển dành cho CLB để đạt được những thành tựu, giải thưởng cao hơn nhằm giúp cho phong trào bóng rổ đại học HUFLIT nói riêng và bóng rổ cả nước nói chung ngày một phát triển.
