theo bộ giao thông vận tải , dự án cao tốc biên hòa -vũng tàu được thiết kế theo tiêu chuẩn đường cao tốc loại A, vận tốc thiết kế 100-120km/giờ, quy mô 4-8 làn xe. có 66,05km dài toàn tuyến khoảng 77,78km, trong đó chuẩn cao tốc, còn lại là các đoạn nhánh nối và đường phố chính đô thị. điểm đầu tuyến nối với đường tránh quốc lộ 1 đoạn tránh thành phố biên hòa , cách ngã ba vũng tàu 6.5 km. điểm cuối tuyến tại km 68+670 đoạn biên hòa -phú mỹ - quốc lộ 51. tổng mức đầu tư toàn bộ dự án khoảng 24,478 tỉ đồng
