Chất thải được chở đến bãi chôn lấp phải được kiểm tra phân loại (qua trạm cân) và tiến hành chôn lấp ngay, không để quá 24 giờ. Chất thải phải được chôn lấp theo đúng các ô quy định cho từng loại chất thải tương ứng. Đối với các BCL tiếp nhận trên 20.000 tấn (hoặc 50.000 m3) chất thải/năm nhất thiết phải trang bị hệ thống cân điện tử để kiểm soát định lượng chất thải.
