Giao tiếp là một quá trình hoạt động trao đổi thông tin giữa người nói và người nghe nhằm đạt được một mục đích nào đó. Thông thường, giao tiếp nhằm để tiếp xúc tâm lý, hiểu biết lẫn nhau, tác động và ảnh hưởng lẫn nhau. Văn hóa giao tiếp được thể hiện rõ nhất ở ngôn ngữ giao tiếp. Phát huy những điểm chung, tôn trọng và giữ gìn bản sắc riêng trong văn hóa giao tiếp sẽ càng góp phần thắt chặt thêm mối quan hệ gắn bó, keo sơn, bền chặt giữa hai dân tộc Việt- Lào.
