Việt Nam là 1 trong 2 thị trường có tốc độ tiêu thụ máy tính xách tay (laptop) 15 inch tăng cao nhất Đông Nam Á, theo GfK. Cụ thể, trong 3 quý đầu năm 2015, Việt Nam nhập về nhiều hơn cùng kỳ năm ngoái 96.000 laptop 15 inch.

Theo IDC ( IDC GROUP -Nhà Phân Phối ủy quyền nhiều sản phẩm công nghệ thông tin chất lượng cao tại Việt Nam), năm 2014, Dell dẫn đầu thị trường laptop Việt Nam với 20% thị phần. Trong quý II vừa qua, hãng này tiếp tục giữ vị trí đầu tiên với 20,1% thị phần. HP lội ngược dòng đứng thứ 2, chiếm 10,7% thị phần và thế chân Asus. Hãng công nghệ của Ðài Loan lần đầu tụt xuống hạng 3 với 6,4% thị phần.
