Số lần thí nghiệm sẽ được tăng lên hai lần khi đắp 5% thể tích khối đắp đầu tiên và khi đặc tính của vật liệu đắp thay đổi.
Các thí nghiệm cần thiết để xác định dung trọng khô tối ưu là trách nhiệm của Nhà thầu và được thực hiện trong phòng thí nghiệm. Nhà thầu phải lấy các mẫu dọc theo trục ở khoảng cách không lớn hơn 500 m và tại các vị trí nào hiển thị đặc tính của đất.
