Từ khảo sát nhận thức của người dân về bình đẳng giới trong lao động và việc làm tại thành phố Hồ Chí Minh hiện nay, tôi thu được một số phát hiện sau. Từ các chỉ số đo lường nhận thức chung của người dân về bình đẳng giới thì kết quả cho thấy, đa số người dân đã từng nghe đến Luật bình đẳng giới. Và khi hỏi người dân hiểu như thế nào về bình đẳng giới thì số người lựa chọn đáp án chính xác chiếm đến trên 72%. Đồng thời, tỷ lệ nam giới hiểu đúng về bình đẳng giới thấp hơn so với nữ giới, điều này cũng là bắt nguồn từ việc đa số các buổi tuyên truyền thì tỷ lệ nam tham gia ít hơn nữ giới. Ngoài ra, số lượng người dân chưa nhận thức đúng đắn về bình đẳng giới vẫn còn khá lớn chiếm tỷ lệ gần 50%.
