The results of the studies showed that lifestyles are directly and indirectly linked to internet addiction. According to Lee's study, (2010) socialized lifestyles were the most likely to be used by the Internet and therefore at greater risk of addiction, while people with independent lifestyles, avoiding others, were less likely to use the Internet. The Ho & Lee study (2001) confirmed that people who adopt a socially-based lifestyle are more likely to use the Internet than others.
