2. Theo Hiệp hội Cà phê-Ca cao Việt Nam, dự kiến xuất khẩu cà phê cả năm nay sẽ đạt khối lượng khoảng 1,5 triệu tấn và giá trị trên 3 tỷ USD.
Theo thống kê của Bộ NN&PTNT, tính tới hết tháng 8, khối lượng xuất khẩu cà phê đạt 1,27 triệu tấn và 2,25 tỷ USD, tăng gần 40% về khối lượng và tăng 20,7% về giá trị so với cùng kỳ năm 2015. Đức và Hoa Kỳ tiếp tục là hai thị trường tiêu thụ cà phê lớn nhất của Việt Nam trong 7 tháng đầu năm, với thị phần lần lượt là 15% và hơn 13%. Dù kim ngạch xuất khẩu cà phê từ đầu năm đến nay tăng mạnh so với cùng kỳ năm trước nhưng cà phê Việt Nam chủ yếu xuất dưới dạng thô nên giá trị gia tăng thấp. Doanh nghiệp, cơ sở chế biến cà phê có thương hiệu bài bản, đăng ký kinh doanh khá ít, trong khi xuất hiện nhiều cơ sở chế biến rang xay cà phê tạo ra sản phẩm không đúng chất lượng. Để tạo điều kiện phát triển cho các cơ sở cà phê rang xay uy tín, tập trung xuất khẩu, Hiệp hội Cà phê-Ca cao Việt Nam đề nghị công tác quản lý vệ sinh an toàn thực phẩm tại các cơ sở rang xay, chế biến cà phê trên cả nước phải được triển khai sát sao, hiệu quả hơn trong thời gian tới.
