Đối với máy rà kim lọai cầm tay, sử dụng pin Fe Ø1.2mm kiểm tra xem máy có họạt động tốt ở khoảng cách xác định bởi nhà sản xuất (Đối với máy HASHIMA HN-30 là 20-40 mm).
Để đảm bảo máy hoạt động bình thường trong suốt quá trình kiểm hàng, QC phải hiệu chuẩn máy 3 lần trước khi kiểm hàng và trước khi tắt máy.
Mỗi 1h20ph sẽ hiệu chuẩn lại một lần. Nếu máy phát hiện thấy kim loại là đạt yêu cầu, ghi OK vào trong báo cáo kiểm tra hằng ngày. Nếu có từ một lần trở lên máy không phát hiện thì máy không đạt yêu cầu, ghi NOK vào báo cáo kiểm tra hằng ngày.
