Luận án, với đề tài “Bình đẳng giới trong tiếp cận đất sản xuất ở Việt Nam” đã hệ thống hóa được các tài liệu nghiên cứu trước đó trong lĩnh vực để đưa ra khung lý thuyết bao gồm nội dung, các khía cạnh và tiêu chí đánh giá, các yếu tố tác động tới bình đẳng giới trong tiếp cận đất đai với tư cách là yếu tố nguồn lực sản xuất. Đồng thời, dựa trên khung lý thuyết đó, với việc sử dụng cách tiếp cận nghiên cứu định lượng thông qua kết hợp phương pháp thống kê mô tả và mô hình kinh tế lượng dựa trên nguồn dữ liệu thứ cấp điều tra mức sống hộ gia đình Việt Nam (VHLSS) để phân tích hiện trạng, cũng như chỉ ra các yếu tố tác động tới bình đẳng giới trong tiếp cận đất đai ở Việt Nam hiện nay, từ đó đưa ra một số khuyến nghị chính sách cải thiện bình đẳng giới trong tiếp cận đất đai thời gian tới.
