Thanh thiếu niên trong cuộc điều tra đã được hỏi “liệu họ đã từng bao giờ có ý định tự tử chưa?” Kết quả cho thấy 3,4% trên toàn mẫu nghiên cứu trả lời là "Có"; đáng chú ý ở đây là tỷ lệ nữ thanh thiếu niên có ý nghĩ tự tử cao hơn hẳn (6,6% và 7,8% ở nhóm nữ thành thị 14-17 tuổi và 18-21 tuổi). Trên toàn mẫu nghiên cứu, 0,5% hay 42 thanh thiếu niên nói họ đã từng cố gắng tự tử. Một số bằng chứng qua kể lại và các hồ sơ lưu của bệnh viện cho thấy tự tử là một vấn đề gây tử vong và bệnh tật của thanh thiếu niên nghiêm trọng hơn nhiều so với kết quả của SAVY5. The results showed that 3.4% on the whole research sample answer is "Yes"; of note here is that the rate of female teens have suicidal thoughts higher (6.6% and 7.8% in urban female group 14-17 years and 18-21 years). On the whole research sample, 0.5% or 42 adolescents said they had tried suicide. Some evidence over recounts and the hospital's record shows that suicide is a problem cause death and disease of adolescents much more serious than the results of SAVY5. This result suggests a need a deeper understanding about the thinking and the behavior of self injure and ruin of the youth, and find out what factors promote the behavior that they have.

Some evidence through recounts and hospital records show that suicide is a fatal problem and illness serious youth than SAVY5 results. This result shows that needed a deeper understanding of the thoughts and self-injurious behavior and self-destructive young people, and find out the factors that motivate them to have that behavior.
