Theo ông Đỗ Quang Văn, Giám đốc Chi nhánh Vận tải Đường sắt Sài Gòn, ngành đường sắt vừa mở tour du lịch khám phá ngoại ô vào thứ 7, chủ nhật hàng tuần.

Cụ thể, lúc 7h30 sáng thứ 7 hoặc chủ nhật hàng tuần, hành khách thăm ga Sài Gòn đến 8h, sau đó tàu SE6 sẽ khởi hành đưa khách đi Dĩ An (Bình Dương). Hành trình này chỉ mất 45 phút và khách có thể tự do nghỉ ngơi, ngắm cảnh từ những khung cửa sổ toa tàu.

Tại ga Dĩ An, khách sẽ được đưa đến Khu du lịch Thuỷ Châu (cách ga Dĩ An 6,4 km) tham quan và tham dự hoạt động giải trí, dã ngoại.

Việc ăn uống có thể tự túc hoặc ăn trưa tại nhà hàng trong Khu du lịch. 16h cùng ngày, khách trở về ga Dĩ An đón chuyến tàu SPT1 lúc 17h35 và đến TP HCM lúc 18h35.

Giá trọn gói cho mỗi hành khách đi tour là 160.000 đồng, gồm: Xe du lịch đưa đón ga Dĩ An – Khu du lịch Thuỷ Châu – ga Dĩ An; vé xe lửa ngồi mềm máy lạnh khứ hồi: TP HCM – Dĩ An – TP HCM; vé tham quan trọn gói Khu du lịch Thuỷ Châu. Trẻ em từ 10 tuổi trở lên mua một vé, còn trẻ em từ 5 tuổi đến dưới 10 tuổi mua nửa vé.

Hướng dẫn viên du lịch sẽ phục vụ suốt tuyến; khách được bảo hiểm trọn tour với phí bồi thường cao nhất là 10.000.000 đồng. Ngoài ra, mỗi hành khách sẽ được tặng nón du lịch, khăn lạnh, nước tinh khiết.

Cũng theo ông Văn, để đáp ứng nhu cầu hành khách đi lại tăng cao trong dịp lễ 30/4 và 1/5 tới, công ty tiếp tục vận chuyển thêm 20 toa tàu (đây là những toa tàu bị kẹt ở ga Sài Gòn khi cầu Ghềnh sập) ra ga Biên Hòa để tổ chức chạy thêm 2 chuyến tàu đi từ TP HCM đến Nha Trang vào ngày 29/4 và ngược lại vào ngày 3/5.

Từ 19/4, công ty Vận tải Đường sắt Sài Gòn điều chỉnh lịch chạy tàu hàng ngày, tổ chức chạy 12 đôi tàu khách gồm: 2 đôi tàu TP HCM – Nha Trang – TP HCM (SE7/8 và SE1/2); 3 đôi tàu khách Thống Nhất, TP HCM – Hà Nội – TP HCM (SE3/4, SE5/6 và TN1/2); 4 đôi tàu khu đoạn TP HCM – Vinh (SE21/22), TP HCM – Quy Nhơn (SE25/26), TP HCM – Nha Trang (SNT5/SNT2) và TP HCM – Phan Thiết (SPT1/2).
