Giáo viên đặt ra các bài kiểm tra, bài thi, đáp án, bài tập, chấm điểm đối chiếu với kết quả trước. Cần biết đánh giá và báo cáo tình hình học tập, hạnh kiểm của từng em học sinh về cho phụ huynh xem mà có cách giải quyết. Mỗi năm học, giáo viên thiết lập được các quy tắc, các thói quen, làm các việc tốt trong trường lớp. Khi cô giáo lớp khác vắng mặt, giáo viên có trách nhiệm giúp đỡ các giáo viên khác. Giám sát học sinh trong lúc ăn cơm trưa và đi nghỉ (nếu học sinh học bán trú). Giám sát các em học sinh khi làm kiểm tra đặc biệt là kiểm tra học kỳ theo định kỳ của nhà trường.
