2.1.3. Phát triển vùng KINH Tế TRọNG ĐIểM theo hướng bền vững
Phát triển bền vững: là: "Sự phát triển có thể đáp ứng được những nhu cầu hiện tại mà không ảnh hưởng, tổn hại đến những khả năng đáp ứng nhu cầu của các thế hệ tương lai”.
Yêu cầu đặt ra đối với PTBV vùng KINH Tế TRọNG ĐIểM: phải được đặt ra trên hai khía cạnh: (i) nó phải nằm trong khuôn khổ về phát triển bền vững quốc gia; (ii) nó phải được đặt ra cao hơn trên cơ sở những yêu cầu riêng có đối với các vùng KINH Tế TRọNG ĐIểM với tư cách là các vùng động lực của cả nước.
Nội dung của phát triển bền vững vùng KINH Tế TRọNG ĐIểM: bền vững về phát triển kinh tế, bền vững về phát triển xã hội và bảo vệ môi trường.
