Ở Việt Nam cà phê là một thức uống được ưa chuộng, đặc biệt vào buổi sáng (nhưng hàm lượng cafein rất cao chỉ thích hợp với những người quen dùng hoặc nghiện cà phê). Các quán giải khát (trừ các "bar") thường gọi là "quán cà phê", mặc dù cũng phục vụ những thức uống khác.
