để trở thành những công dân hiện đại , để hào nhập với một xã hội ngày càng tiến bộ , phát triễn , mỗi con người chúng ta cần có những kỉ năng cần thiết cho bản thân . Những kỉ năng ấy , chúng ta có thể học được ở mọi người xung quanh ta . Những năm tiểu học , chúng ta đã được cha mẹ , thầy cô dạy cách ứng xử khi gặp người lạ mặt , dạy cách xử lý tình huống khi bị bắt nạt , ... từ bạn bè , người thân , chúng ta có thể học được những kỉ năng hửu ích nhằm phục vụ cho đời sống , xử lí những sự việc diễn ra trong cuộc sống hằng ngày một cách dễ dàng hơn . Hoặc từ các lớp học về kỉ năng ứng xử , chúng ta có thể biết thêm nhiều điều bổ ích , thú vị và rất cần thiết cho bản thân .
Các hoạt động xã hội ( như : từ thiện , tình nguyện , ... ) cũng là những cơ hội tuyệt vời để chúng ta có thể tích lũy thêm các kỉ năng sống , kỉ năng giao tiếp , kỉ năng nói trước đám đông , ... để làm hoàn thiện , phát triễn hơn về mặt nhân cách , ứng xử của mỗi người
