Tăng cường nhận thức về Cộng đồng ASEAN

Các quốc gia ASEAN đã thực hiện nhiều sáng kiến khác nhau để tăng nhận thức của ASEAN ở đất nước của họ. Theo Rabiatul, ở Brunei, các sáng kiến nâng cao nhận thức chủ yếu tập trung vào giới trẻ thông qua những sự kiện lưu động quảng bá Cộng đồng ASEAN được tổ chức ở trường học khắp đất nước.

“Là người thuộc thế hệ trẻ, vốn chiếm một phần lớn dân số Brunei, tôi hoàn toàn ủng hộ những sáng kiến này. Tuy nhiên, theo tôi, chúng ta cần phải nỗ lực hơn nữa để tăng cường nhận thức cho nhiều tầng lớp xã hội.

Không ai bị bỏ lại phía sau hoặc bị lờ đi bởi vì chúng ta cần tất cả mọi người để cùng nhau đạt được những mục tiêu chung” - Rabiatul nhận định.

Nan cho biết học sinh ở Myanmar không được học về các quốc gia ASEAN ở bậc học phổ thông và thậm chí nhiều người Myanmar không hề biết chính xác Thái Lan hay Campuchia ở đâu.

“Là một công dân Myanmar, tôi biết cộng đồng chung ASEAN đóng vai trò vô cùng quan trọng cho sự phát triển kinh tế của đất nước. Tôi hoàn toàn tin tưởng hội nhập kinh tế sẽ diễn ra một cách thuận lợi trong thời gian sắp tới.

Hiện tại chúng tôi đã có những tuyến đường cao tốc kết nối với Thái Lan và Ấn Độ. Chúng tôi sẽ trở thành cánh cửa mở ASEAN ra với Ấn Độ, đất nước đông dân thứ hai thế giới, và háo hức kết nối với các quốc gia ASEAN” - Nan nói.

Ưu tiên nâng cao nhận thức ASEAN cho giới trẻ

Trung ương Đoàn đã tổ chức nhiều đợt tập huấn chuyên đề về nâng cao nhận thức về Cộng đồng ASEAN cho thanh niên.

Ngoài ra, nhiều đoàn đại biểu thanh niên Việt Nam được cử tham gia các hoạt động trong cơ chế khuôn khổ hợp tác thanh niên ASEAN, tham gia các chương trình giao lưu, trao đổi kinh nghiệm, diễn đàn, phát triển nguồn nhân lực trẻ ASEAN...

Dù đạt được một số kết quả tích cực nhưng các hoạt động hợp tác thanh niên trong ASEAN của Việt Nam chủ yếu tập trung vào các hoạt động giao lưu văn hóa mà chưa có nhiều hoạt động mang tính trao đổi chuyên sâu về những vấn đề thanh niên các nước cùng quan tâm.

Trong thời gian tới, Việt Nam sẽ tiếp tục tham gia các hoạt động trong khuôn khổ hợp tác thanh niên ASEAN, đề xuất những nội dung hợp tác mới trong lĩnh vực thanh niên, trong đó ưu tiên các dự án, hoạt động liên quan tới nâng cao nhận thức trong thanh niên về ASEAN.
