UBND các quận, huyện, thị xã có trách nhiệm xây dựng kế hoạch tổ chức triển khai tới từng xã, phường, thị trân. Bố trí kinh phí và điều kiện đảm bảo cần thiết khác để tổ chức Ngày chạy Olympic tại địa phương cho các xã, phường, thị trấn và tăng cường huy động mọi nguồn lực xã hội để tổ chức. Thành lập Ban tổ chức Ngày chạy Olympic tại địa phương; phân công các đơn vị liên quan chuẩn bị các nội dung của Ngày chạy Olympic, phối hợp với các ban, ngành, đoàn thể tại địa phương thống nhất chủ trương, nội dung, hình thức, thời gian tiến hành tổ chức Ngày chạy Olympic đồng loạt tại các xã, phường, thị trấn; đồng thời phối hợp với các cơ quan truyền thông tuyên truyền việc tổ chức Ngày chạy Olympic trên các phương tiện phát thanh, truyền hình, truyền thanh trong cộng đồng dân cư.
