Một số thủ thuật tôi thường dùng để dạy từ mới như: dùng trực quan; dùng từ đồng nghĩa, trái nghĩa; đoán nghĩa trong ngữ cảnh; dịch sang tiếng mẹ đẻ; cử chỉ; điệu bộ…Sau khi dạy xong từ mới có rất nhiều phương pháp để khắc sâu việc ghi nhớ từ mới của họa sinh như: matching, rub out and remember, slap the board, what and where…
