Trong khuôn khổ bài báo này, chúng tôi dựa trên cơ sở các kết quả phân tích của 10.740 kết quả phân tích mẫu Zr trong 25 năm qua của Trung tâm Điều tra tài nguyên – môi trường biển đã thực hiện để đánh giá sự phân bố của nguyên tố Zirconi trong trầm tích tầng mặt vùng biển Việt Nam từ 0-100m nước. Đây cũng là kết quả chủ yếu của Đề tài “Nghiên cứu xây dựng atlat địa hóa một số nguyên tố trong trầm tích tầng mặt biển Việt Nam (0-100m nước” MS. TNMT.06.28.
Với việc xác định được đặc điểm phân bố nguyên tố Zr trong trầm tích tầng mặt biển Việt Nam, từ 0-100m nước, chúng tôi đã xác định được các vùng biển, các khu vực có mức độ tập trung cao của nguyên tố Zr, từ đó định hướng cho công tác điều tra, khảo sát đánh giá nguồn tài nguyên khoáng sản liên quan đến nguyên tố này ở mức độ chi tiết hơn.
