A large part of the intermediate students in agricultural colleges have limited knowledge about basic knowledge and lack of experience in the listener naturally fluent in English. The situation becomes worse if English speakers are native English speakers. At my college, students are almost never have the chance to speak with foreigners; Therefore, intonation and accent in English is ' they often get stuck. Each school year, I would like to talk with the students about learning English. Through the negotiations, I have found out some potential difficulties that students may encounter in their classroom to listen.First, many students complain that they find it difficult to keep up with the speaker in the tape recorder because they have no idea about what the speaker will talk about When they are busy working out the meaning of a portion of what they hear, they miss what happens next.An equally serious difficulties, according to the students, as they are not familiar with the pronunciation of some words or the speaker's voice. That is why they are sometimes unable to get out the word that they know in writing.A third difficulty is the limited vocabulary of students. Well as Underwood (1989) said: "as for the person listening to a foreign language, from the unknown can be like a hurdle suddenly dropped made them stop and think about the meaning of the word and therefore make them miss the next part of the speech." (p. 17)Finally, the fact that a recording is not always clear is also an obstacle for students to hear.
