Để điều khiển lưu lượng gió và chế độ thông gió của hệ thống lạnh, ta thực hiện như sau:
• Nhấn công tắc (2) để mở hệ thống điều hòa nhiệt độ ở chế độ điều khiển bằng tay. Chỉ ở chế độ này mới có thể điều chỉnh các chế độ của quạt gió giàn lạnh. Nếu đang ở chế độ AUTO, nhấn công tắc (7) sẽ tự động chuyển về chế độ điều khiển bằng tay.
• Lưu lượng gió: Trong khi nhấn liên tục công tắc (7) thì tốc độ gió sẽ thay đổi từ thấp (đèn “LO” sáng)  trung bình (đèn “MI” sáng)  cao (đèn “HI” sáng)  thấp (đèn “LO” sáng).
• Chế độ thông gió: Nhấn công tắc (6), chế độ thông gió tuần hoàn giữa trong và ngoài xe được khởi động. Cùng lúc đó, đèn báo “FRESH” cũng hiển thị. Sau đó ta dùng công tắc (9) và (10) để điều chỉnh quạt thông gió, bấm vào phần “OUT” của công tắc để sử dụng cùng với điều hòa nhiệt độ.
