Việc sử dụng các phương tiện nghe nhìn trong giảng dạy giúp cho người học có hứng thú, dễ học, dễ hiểu, dễ nhớ qua đó giúp người dạy chuyển tải nội dung đến người học một cách có hiệu quả nhất. Trên cơ sở khai thác triệt để thế mạnh các phương tiện nghe nhìn như hiệu ứng màu sắc, âm thanh, hình ảnh động giảng viên có thể giới thiệu các khái niệm, diễn giải một quá trình, đặt các câu hỏi… bằng những minh họa trực quan làm cho bài giảng bớt trừu tượng.
