Hoàn thành xây dựng và vận hành CSDL đất đai đa mục tiêu trên cơ sở kiến trúc hệ thống, hạ tầng đồng bộ, phần mềm thống nhất theo mô hình tập trung, đảm bảo tính liên thông giữa các cấp và các ngành có liên quan.
Tiếp tục kiện toàn hệ thống Văn phòng Đăng lý đất đai 1 cấp đảm bảo đủ nguồn lực, cơ sở hạ tầng, quy chế hoạt động và cơ chế chia sẻ để vận hành, quản lý hệ thống thường xuyên, ổn định và hiệu quả. Tập trung nâng cao chất lượng dịch vụ quản lý đất đai, tổ chức khai thác dữ liệu, thông tin đất đai.
Nâng cao năng lực, nguồn lực quản lý và vận hành hệ thống CSDL đất đai; đào tạo đội ngũ cán bộ để đảm bảo tác nghiệp kỹ thuật thường xuyên, cập nhật, chỉnh lý biến động kịp thời. Việc xây dựng CSDL và các hạ tầng thông tin về đất đai giúp cho các cán bộ quản lý dần thay đổi cách quản lý hồ sơ từ phương thức truyền thống chuyển sang ứng dụng những tiến bộ của khoa học và công nghệ hiện đại.
Đẩy mạnh tuyên truyền, phổ biến và nâng cao nhận thức cộng đồng về lợi ích đăng ký quyền sử dụng đất, đăng ký biến động đất đai và sử dụng dịch vụ công đất đai (mức độ 3, 4).
CSDL đất đai - những hiệu quả mang lại bước đầu, do đó, Sở TN&MT kiến nghị UBND tỉnh Long An xem xét đảm bảo dành tối thiểu 10% tổng số thu từ tiền sử dụng, tiền thuê đất để đầu tư cho công tác đo đạc, đăng ký đất đai, cấp Giấy chứng nhận, xây dựng CSDL đất đai và đăng ký biến động, chỉnh lý hồ sơ địa chính thường xuyên.
Đặc biệt, hiện nay Sở TN&MT tập trung tham mưu UBND tỉnh Long An triển khai dự án “Tăng cường quản lý đất đai và xây dựng CSDL đất đai” - gọi tắt là dự án VILG, thiết lập và vận hành "Hệ thống thông tin đất đai quốc gia đa mục tiêu(MPLIS)"vay vốn Ngân hàng Thế giới (tại Quyết định số 1236/QĐ-BTNMT ngày 30/5/2016 của Bộ TN&MT) mà tỉnh Long An là 1 trong 33 tỉnh được Trung ương chọn tham gia Dự án “Tăng cường quản lý đất đai và xây dựng CSDL đất đai”, với tổng kinh phí 4.875,01 nghìn đô la Mỹ (tương đương 106,89 tỷ đồng), Chính phủ hỗ trợ cấp phát một phần và cho vay lại một phần từ nguồn vốn vay ưu đãi của Hiệp hội phát triển quốc tế (IDA) - Ngân hàng Thế giới (WB); thời gian thực hiện 05 năm (2017-2022), dự kiến bắt triển khai trong đầu năm 2017.
Thực hiện hoàn chỉnh dự án Đầu tư trang thiết bị phục vụ công tác quản lý, lưu trữ , cập nhật cơ sở dữ liệu ngành tài nguyên và môi trường tỉnh Long An.
