Năm 1976, Quốc hội đã đổi tên nước VN thành nước Cộng hòa xã hội chủ nghĩa Việt Nam. Hiện nay nước Cộng hòa XHCN Việt Nam đang vững bước trên con đường đổi mới với mục tiêu “ Dân giàu, nước mạnh, xã hội công bằng văn minh”.
