Nội dung đầu tiên của chương này là kết quả và thảo luận đối với nghiên cứu thực nghiệm về tình hình tài chính khái quát, về cơ cấu vốn và rủi ro tài chính của các doanh nghiệp Việt Nam ở những khía cạnh khác nhau dưới góc độ quản trị tài chính. Tiếp theo là kết quả nghiên cứu và những thảo luận về mối quan hệ cơ cấu vốn và từng biểu hiện của rủi ro tài chính trong các doanh nghiệp Việt Nam. Ngoài ra, chương 3 còn thảo luận các kết quả nghiên cứu dựa vào một số thông tin từ cuộc khảo sát ý kiến của người đại diện các doanh nghiệp trong việc đưa ra quyết định lựa chọn cơ cấu vốn, nhận diện và kiểm soát rủi ro tài chính.
