Cấu trúc và nguyên tắc hoạt động của màn hình plasma cũng tương tự như một bóng đèn huỳnh quang.
Tuy nhiên, màn hình plasma có góc nhìn rộng hơn, thời gian đáp ứng nhanh hơn và phạm vi nhiệt cũng cao hơn so với màn hình tinh thể lỏng.
