Khu di tích được xếp vào loại “Độc nhất vô nhị” là do cả hai ngôi tháp đều không phải là tháp vuông nhiều tầng theo truyền thống của tháp Chăm cổ mà được tạo thành gồm 2 phần chính: khối thân vuông và phần mái tháp mặt cong, ở các góc tháp được chạm trổ những tượng chim thần Garuda, hai tay đưa cao như đang nâng đỡ mái tháp. Vì vậy, thoạt nhìn ngôi tháp này trông giống với đền thờ của người Khơ-me thời kỳ Ăng-co thế kỷ XII.
