Như vậy, ngân hàng được xem là loại hình doanh nghiệp đặc biệt, thực hiện kinh doanh tiền tệ và cung cấp dịch vụ cho các đối tượng khách hàng. Tất cả các hoạt động mà ngân hàng cung cấp cho nền kinh tế đều được xem là hoạt động dịch vụ.
