According to Article 106 – Vietnam Labor Law and LS & CO SES, working OT hour should not more than 12 hours/week & 30 hours/month and 300 hours/year. It was noted that 10% of the total of workforce worked from 4.5 to 14 OT hours per day which excessed 4.5 OT hours per day & from61 to 76 hours per week including OT hours & Sundays which excessed limit 60 hours/week including OT and monthly from 31 to 80 OT hours per month which the limit of 32 excessed OT hours/month. Factory should review the capacity planning; to be should base on the regular work day, not on OT as well as revise systems to deal with overtime problems, e.g. cross training and shift work.
