Ngày của biển: Ngày của biển được tổ chức để cảm ơn những gì mà biển đã ban tặng cũng như nằm nâng cao ý thức của người dân Nhật về tầm quan trọng của biển với sự tồn tại và phát triển của quốc gia này. Ngày lễ này được diễn ra vào ngày thứ Hai của tuần thứ 3 trong tháng 7 và được chọn làm quốc lễ của Nhật Bản bắt đầu từ năm 1996.
