Theo số liệu của Tổng Cục thống kê Malaysia cho biết, tổng kim ngạch xuất nhập khẩu tháng 6 đầu năm 2016 của Malaysia với các nước đạt 704 tỷ RM, tăng 1,29% so với cùng kỳ năm 2015, trong đó kim ngạch xuất khẩu của Malaysia sang các nước đạt 372,9 tỷ RM, tăng 1,23% và kim ngạch nhập khẩu của Malaysia từ các nước đạt 331,1 tỷ RM, tăng 1,36%. Thặng dư thương mại của Malaysia đạt 41,79 tỷ RM, tăng 1,29%.
Tổng kim ngạch xuất nhập khẩu của Malaysia trong quý 2 năm 2016 đạt 357,62 tỷ RM, tăng 3,24% so với quý 1 năm 2016, trong đó kim ngạch xuất khẩu của Malaysia sang các nước đạt 187,74 tỷ RM, tăng 1,39% và kim ngạch nhập khẩu của Malaysia từ các nước đạt 169,88 tỷ RM, tăng 5,37%. Thặng dư thương mại của Malaysia đạt 17,86 tỷ RM, giảm 25,4%.
