Các nhà đầu tư vẫn tin vào tiềm năng kinh tế Việt Nam

Ông Terry Mahony, Chủ tịch VinaCapital cho biết tại Hội nghị, các nhà đầu tư vẫn tin vào tiềm năng trung và dài hạn của kinh tế Việt Nam.

50 nhà đầu tư nước ngoài đã đến Việt Nam dự Hội nghị Các nhà đầu tư 2011 nhằm cập nhật tình hình đầu tư năm 2011 và triển vọng cho năm tài chính tiếp theo, tổ chức trong hai ngày 13 và 14/10, tại TP.HCM.

Hội nghị này do Tập đoàn hàng đầu về quản lý tài sản và phát triển bất động sạn tại Việt Nam (VinaCapital) tổ chức, để tìm hiểu thêm về các cơ hội đầu tư vào các lĩnh vực kinh tế Việt Nam - một trong những nền kinh tế mới nổi năng động nhất thế giới.

Ông Terry Mahony, Chủ tịch VinaCapital cho biết tại Hội nghị, các nhà đầu tư vẫn tin vào tiềm năng trung và dài hạn của kinh tế Việt Nam.

Theo đánh giá của VinaCapital, tuy tỷ lệ tăng trưởng GDP tăng chậm lại do những chính sách thắt chặt tài khóa và tiền tệ được Chính phủ ban hành nhằm kiềm chế lạm phát, dẫn đến thị trường chứng khóan và thị trường bất động sản chịu tác động xấu, nhưng dòng vốn đầu tư nước ngoài vẫn tiếp tục đổ vào với các khoản đầu tư lớn từ các công ty đa quốc gia nhắm tới tiềm năng dài hạn của Việt Nam.

Theo ông Don Lam, Tổng giám đốc VinaCapital, kinh tế Việt Nam vừa trải qua một năm đầy thử thách và tập đoàn này mong muốn các nhà đầu tư của mình hiểu rõ hơn môi trường đầu tư mà các quỹ đầu tư đang hoạt động. Đây là cách tốt nhất để mời các nhà đầu tư đến đất nước này và tận mắt chứng kiến những tiềm năng dồi dào tại đây.

Ông Andy Ho, Giám đốc điều hành VinaCapital cho biết tập đoàn này hiện đang quản lý hiệu quả 3 quỹ dạng đóng, niêm yết trên thị trường chứng khoán London (AIM), tập trung vào các cổ phiếu niêm yết và công ty tư nhân, bất động sản và cơ sở hạ tầng có tổng tài sản quản lý trên 1,7 tỷ USD.

Trong năm nay, Quỹ VOF đã mua cổ phần của Công ty cổ phần Yến Việt, Công ty cổ phần cà phê Thái Hòa và tăng cổ phần tại Công ty cổ phần bảo vệ thực vật An Giang; Quỹ VNL chuẩn bị khai trương làng nhà mẫu tại Khu đô thị Mỹ Gia ở thành phố Nha Trang; VNI mua thêm cổ phiếu của 2 công ty kinh doanh trạm thu phát di động và khởi công Khu công nghiệp Bá Thiện II tại Vĩnh Phúc…

Trong năm tới, VinaCapital tiếp tục đầu tư vào các công ty tư nhân và công ty niêm yết, tập trung vào các công ty vừa và nhỏ; đầu tư thêm vào các dự án bất động sản nhà ở mới khi thị trường đi lên, huy động vốn cho quỹ trái phiếu và quỹ đầu tư tư nhân và bắt đầu trả cố tức cho các cổ đông…
