Năm 2011 đánh dấu đúng 40 năm tổ chức Hòa Bình Xanh (Green Peace) ra đời (1971 - 2011). Từ đó đến nay, những "con người xanh" này luôn cố gắng làm mọi thứ họ có thể để tránh việc Trái đất này bị nổ tung do những hiện tượng thiên nhiên và một phần con người gây ra.
Green Peace được thành lập vào ngày 15/9/1971 ở Vancouver, Canada năm 1971. Theo ông Daniel Mittler – chuyên gia biến đổi khí hậu, Cố vấn Chính sách và Mậu dịch của Green Peace International – những vấn đề về môi trường đang “bao vây” hành tinh của chúng ta ngày càng trở nên cấp bách hơn.
