Mối quan hệ giữa các hiệp hội và doanh nghiệp chưa có được sự gắn kết và tương tác cần thiết và nhiều thành viên cũng không mặn mà tham gia hay gia nhập hội. Năm 2014, Hiệp hội doanh nghiệp phát 750 phiếu lấy ý kiến doanh nghiệp trên địa bàn Tỉnh nhưng kết quả có 31 doanh nghiệp gửi kiến nghị, đề nghị hỗ trợ giải quyết khó khăn và 14 doanh nghiệp đăng ký tham gia lớp đào tạo. Còn năm 2015, Hiệp hội doanh nghiệp đã gửi 220 phiếu nhưng chỉ thu lại được 14 phiếu của 14 doanh nghiệp với khoảng 40 ý kiến. Còn CLB đặc sản hiện nay cũng chỉ tập hợp được 12 cơ sở sản xuất, doanh nghiệp kinh doanh trong lĩnh vực đặc sản. Các cơ sở, doanh nghiệp khác kinh doanh đặc sản của Trà Vinh không muốn tham gia vì sợ phải nộp chi phí cao lẫn tâm lý không muốn mở rộng sản xuất kinh doanh. Tình hình CLB doanh nhân trẻ cũng không có mấy khởi sắc. Hiện nay, CLB doanh nhân trẻ có khoảng 50 thành viên nhưng cũng chỉ có khoảng 20 thành viên tham gia tích cực trong các hoạt động của CLB. Các hiệp hội, câu lạc bộ này cũng gặp rất nhiều khó khăn trong việc huy động thêm thành viên mới tham gia. Việc không tập hợp được sự tham gia và đóng góp cũng như ý kiến của các doanh nghiệp thành viên sẽ gây hạn chế cho Hiệp hội trong việc đại diện cho tiếng nói của các hội viên của mình, cũng như giúp các hội viên có thể tháo gỡ các khó khăn, vướng mắc trong kinh doanh.
